From Palo Cagao to Palo Alto2001

Liset Castillo Valdés

Ink on acetate, redwood and plexiglas frame

The piece conceptually transposes a residence from the dilapidated section of Havana, Cuba known as Palo Cagao to the environs of Palo Alto. Castillo describes the pride for one’s personal dwellings shared by people living in disparate conditions.
