"My time at Djerassi changed my life and re-shaped what I know I need moving forward. I was inspired by the space to breathe, the mountain air on my face, the art on the land. My time at Djerassi re-connected me to myself, my heart, my creative power and my potential. As an artist, sometimes we wonder, 'what if' I had the time to breathe, think, focus and write? My time at Djerassi gave me that time and answered the questions: When I have that time, I am most definitely at my creative best. I realized that I definitely need to be put in a place where my job is to write. And I will do just that, write." Fawzia Mirza (2018)
