Biography

Alissa Neglia graduated in 1990 with a BFA in fine art from Syracuse University. She has been creating sculpture for public and private spaces over the span of 30 years. Whether working in metal, wood, leather or in her paintings and drawings the inspiration for the work can be found in nature. The artist’s approach is aligned with traditional aesthetics and formalism. Neglia’s work has been shown in the states and abroad and the artist is included in several private and public collections. She has been reviewed by the New York Times, Art in America and Sculpture Magazine. Neglia currently works and lives with her family in Jersey City, NJ.
